China Works launches China Desk service for companies looking to turn around failing Chinese manufacturing projects - January 2009
China Works estimate up to 50% of Chinese outsourcing projects fail to achieve the results required. Reasons for failure can include poor communications, excessive pressure on lead times or price, mismatched expectations between the buyer and supplier, and poor quality control.
To address this problem China Works have launched a 'China Desk' service for customers who want to buy from Chinese factories directly, but want a local representative to look after their interests. The service aims to get Chinese manufacturing projects back on track, and save customers the substantial cost of replacing and shipping defective goods.
This service covers the following areas:
- Liaison with local manufacturers to manage and control preparation/shipment of orders
- Management of the quality control process prior to shipment.
- Management of logistics using our UK freight forwarding partners
- Dealing with any ongoing issues, questions or other sourcing projects
We will provide UK companies with a Shanghai based English speaking account manager from our team, who will be tasked with dealing with all enquiries on a timely basis. The service is charged for on a retainer basis with fees starting from as low as $250 per month.
